These terms apply when you use Robot Chef, the AI recipe app for Android and iOS, and these web pages. By tapping Accept in the app, or by using it, you agree to them. How we handle data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

AI-generated content

Recipes, cooking tips, nutritional values and dish images in Robot Chef are generated by artificial intelligence (OpenAI models). The AI can make mistakes: an ingredient may not fit the diet you picked, a quantity or a cooking time may be wrong, and an image shows what the AI imagines, not a real dish.

• Always check the ingredients for allergens and intolerances, yours and those of everyone you cook for, even when you picked a diet option.
• Cook meat, poultry, fish and eggs to a safe temperature, whatever the recipe says, and follow normal food safety.
• Nutritional values are estimates. Nothing in Robot Chef is medical, dietary or nutritional advice: if you follow a diet for health reasons, ask your doctor or a dietitian.
• If an answer looks wrong, offensive or unsafe, report it from inside the app.

Age

If you are under 18, use Robot Chef only with the permission of a parent or guardian. In Italy, children under 14 need the consent of a parent to use AI tools.

Using Robot Chef properly

You agree not to:

• use Robot Chef to try to generate content that is illegal, sexual, hateful, violent or harmful;
• type personal information about yourself or other people in your requests;
• call our server outside the app, get around the token system, or copy, modify or reverse engineer the app;
• present the AI-generated recipes or images as made by a person.

OpenAI's usage policies also apply to what you ask the AI.

Tokens and purchases

Robot Chef is free to download. Creating a recipe costs tokens: you start with some for free, and you can get more by watching rewarded videos, by playing the Main Story, or by buying token packs. Costs and rewards are shown in the app and may change in future versions.

• Tokens are a license to use the app's features. They are not money, they have no value outside the app, and they cannot be exchanged or transferred.
• Tokens are saved only on your phone. There is no account, so if you uninstall the app, clear its data or change phone, we cannot restore them.
• Token packs are bought from Google Play or the Apple App Store, which process the payment and handle refunds under their own terms: to ask for a refund, contact the store first. If a purchase went wrong, for example you paid and did not receive the tokens, write to us and we will help.
• Tokens are delivered as soon as the purchase is confirmed. Your consumer rights for digital content bought from the stores are those set out in the store's terms and in the law of the country where you live.

Ads

Robot Chef shows only rewarded videos that you choose to watch, provided by Google AdMob, with a limit on how many you can watch per hour and per day. How ads use data, and how to change your consent, is explained in the Privacy Policy.

What belongs to whom

The app, its robots, texts, graphics and code belong to us. The recipes and images you create are yours to use: you can cook them, save them and share them, as long as you follow the law and do not present them as made by a person.

If you use the iOS app

On iPhone and iPad, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms add to it. Apple is not responsible for Robot Chef or its content.

Changes to the app

We may change, improve or remove features, and the AI models behind them, over time. If we ever stop Robot Chef, we will say so in the app and on this website in advance whenever we can.

Liability

We work to keep Robot Chef useful and safe, but we cannot promise that every AI answer is correct or that the app always works without interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where the law does not allow it, for example for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Italy. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts of that country.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters for you, we will also tell you in the app.
